Quick answers for the issues IMOU Bangladesh customers ask most.

Make sure you're connecting to a 2.4GHz WiFi network — IMOU cameras don't support 5GHz. The password must not contain special characters. Try resetting your camera by holding the reset button for 10 seconds, then set it up again through the IMOU Life app. If the issue continues, contact our support team.

Check that night vision is enabled in the IMOU Life app under Camera Settings → Image Settings. If there's a glass surface in front of the camera (window or enclosure), IR light will reflect back and wash out the image. Also ensure no bright light source is directly in frame during night hours. Clean the lens with a soft cloth.

Use a Class 10 or UHS-I SD card (32GB–256GB recommended). Insert it into the slot on the camera while powered off. Turn the camera on, open IMOU Life app → Device Settings → Storage → Format SD Card. Always format through the app, not on your PC, to ensure proper compatibility.

First check that notifications are enabled in your phone's system settings for the IMOU Life app. In the app, go to the camera → Alarm Settings → ensure Motion Detection is ON and the alarm time schedule covers your hours. Check that Do Not Disturb mode is not blocking notifications on your phone.

Open the IMOU Life app → select your camera → Share Device → enter the family member's IMOU Life account email. They'll receive an invitation. Alternatively, create a Home in the app and invite members — they get access to all shared devices in that home.

Try switching from HD to SD quality in the live view to test if the issue is internet speed. Check that your router is within good range — cameras need at least 2Mbps upload speed. You can also restart the camera from the app (Device Settings → Restart). Clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth.

Yes. All IMOU products purchased from imou.bd or authorised Bangladesh dealers carry a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Physical damage, water damage (unless rated IP67), and improper use are not covered. Bring your original purchase receipt to any authorised service centre or contact us at [email protected].
